Czech Republic ready to repatriate ethnic Czech families from Ukraine.

More than 40 ethnic Czech families living in Ukraine have asked the Czech government for repatriation “home” as they fear an uncertain future in the crisis-torn country. Czech MPs said they will come up with a repatriation program.

Speaker of the Czech Parliament's lower house, Jan Hamacek, has called on the government to help ethnic Czechs living in Ukraine to return home.

"We had a very successful program of resettlement of our countrymen who were affected by the Chernobyl disaster. There were several thousands of people in the 90’s who returned here. These people and their families are now fully integrated into Czech society,” Hamacek said, as cited by the Czech Idnez newspaper.

The Czech government cannot ignore the danger that ethnic Czechs are facing in Ukraine’s Volhynia, Czech MP, Radim Fiala, said in a statement.

Russian troops storm Ukrainian bases in Crimea

so it isn't calm ? ffs! Blush

Shooting and explosions have been heard as Russian troops backed by armoured vehicles stormed a Ukrainian airbase in Crimea.

Reports say at least one person was injured during the assault on Belbek base, near Sevastopol. The base is now said to be under Russian control.

Earlier, several hundred unarmed protesters seized a Ukrainian naval base at Novofedorivka, western Crimea.

Pro-Russian militia have also been seizing Ukrainian navy ships.

Obama: US, Europe will impose a cost on Russia

US President Barack Obama says Washington and its European allies will impose a cost on Russia if it does not reverse course over the situation in Ukraine.

“Europe and America are united in our support of the Ukrainian government and Ukrainian people,” Obama said in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, after talks with Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte on Monday. “We are united in imposing a cost on Russia for its actions so far.”

Obama, who has kicked off a week of talks with leaders from Washington’s European allies, also said that he and other representatives from the Group of Eight (G8) developed nations, except representatives from the Kremlin, will discuss a permanent removal of Moscow from the economic group and tougher economic sanctions against Russia.

Ukraine Closes Border with Crimea shithit I still do not understand this?

Blush

MOSCOW, March 23 (RIA Novosti) - Ukrainian border guards closed the exit from the Republic of Crimea, local authorities said on Saturday.

The office of the Crimean Federal District, which was established by President Vladimir Putin on Friday, said that even Ukrainian servicemen who wanted to leave Crimea could not cross the border.

According to the Russian Defense Ministry, only 2,000 out of 18,000 Ukrainian troops serving in Crimea decided to leave the peninsula.

"The obvious purpose of this provocation is to accuse the Crimean authorities of not letting people out and create tensions in the border area," the office of the Crimean Federal District said.

"Anarchy" Returns To Ukraine As Ultra-Nationalist Leader Killed By Police ...

The Russian foreign ministry proclaimed the recent robbing of passengers traveling from Russia to Moldova (via Ukraine), by an ultra-nationalist Insurgent Army, is a manifestation of "anarchy" and was "bewildered" by the refusal of the Ukrainian police to take any action (against the groups that are largely responsible for the overturn of Yanukoych's government just a few weeks ago). However, as RT reports, that changed this morning as the notorious Ukrainian ultra-nationalist known as Sashko Bilyi was shot dead during a police raid against his gang. The story just gets worse though as now theactivist 'right sector' has stated it will seek revenge for the killing of their leader.

"Anarchy" is breaking out in Ukraine...

The recent robbing of passengers, traveling from Russia to Moldova via Ukraine’s territory, by a local ultra-nationalist Insurgent Army is a manifestation of “anarchy,” the Russian Foreign Ministry has said.

On March 21, the train, en route from Moscow to the capital of Moldova, Chisinau, made a scheduled stop in the city of Vinnitsa in central Ukraine.

“To the horror of passengers…people dressed in the uniform of the Ukrainian Insurgent Army (UPA) got into carriages and began a ‘document check’. People who showed Russian passports were then made to hand over their money and golden jewelry,” the Russian Ministry said on Monday in a statement published on its website.
